I have restored and updated instructions for music submission below.  For some reason they disappeared from this site.  Thanks for letting me know --- Carm

Shea Rose performs live on WAAF (1/29/11)!

Thanks to our superb sound engineer/producers Brian James Wanders and Geoff Chase as they move smoothly behind the scenes mixing the live sound you hear every Sunday night during our live band acoustic segment at midnight on WAAF.

For updates on all upcoming live on-air acoustic performances and interviews, please scroll down.

LISTEN TO BAY STATE ROCK EVERY SUNDAY FROM 11 PM TO 1 AM.

BSR exposes the best of Boston and New England area music, no matter what the style. If it's good, you'll likely hear it first on BSR at 107.3 and now 97.7 WAAF. If you have any doubts about this, tune into Bay State Rock Sunday nights at 9PM on 107.3 WAAF and we'll prove it to you.

The proper e-mail address is: baystaterocklistings@yahoo.com. Please keep your listings simple without attachments, photo's or large lettering. Less is more. Thanks.

If you are in a band, or a promoter, please submit your show dates by the Wednesday prior to the Sunday night local show. This ensures that we can get your listings posted early for fans looking for shows. As well, we can potentially promote your show on BSR Sunday night.

If you're in a band or band management seeking airplay on Bay State Rock, please be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page for guidelines on CD submission along with where to send it.

Looking to break loose tonight? Check the Local Scene page for daily show updates. Comments on the local music scene can be posted on the cal Music

THANKS to Michelle, our Bay State Rock booking agent, who works tirelessly scheduling interviews and live acoustic performances with Boston's best bands on WAAF's Bay State Rock.

Also thanks to the rest of our stellar BSR crew producers/sound engineers Brian and Geoff for mixing the clean and clear sounding live acoustic performances each Sunday night.  Behind their calm manner, please note that they are running around keeping things running smoothly throughout the evening. We are all proud of the fact that each and every guest on our show feels welcomed and comfortable. BSR on WAAF is their home as much as it is ours.

Our beloved, longtime co-host/producer, Tez, is currently on leave and will be hosting BSR when I (Carm) get called away from time to time. Unfortunately, due to increased full-time job obligations, he can't be with us on most Sunday nights. We miss him dearl

HOW TO GET YOUR MUSIC TO US

All CD's may be sent to WAAF C/o Bay State Rock or Carmelita, 20 Guest St., Suite #3, Boston, MA 02135

1. CD's DO NOT have to be submitted in a plastic jewel case. One CD enclosed in a simple paper sleeve is adequate. Please be sure the name of your band and song tracks are included on the CD.  We also accept MP3's via e-mail, but please ask first.

2. Show annoucements can be sent to baystaterocklistings@yahoo.com.  We often play bands who are performing around New England the week following the Sunday night show.  Show listings more than a month ahead of time may get buried under a pile of new listings that are constantly arriving.  It's recommended that you send them a week or two in advance. Keep listings simple with date of show, name, and address of the venue you will be performing at.  Do not send attachments or downloads with your show listings as they won't be opened. We also include show listings here in the Events section of this website.

3. Press kits are not necessary.  Keep it simple.  A short note enclosed with your CD is acceptable.  If you want to highlight a show you have coming up soon, print it in bold lettering on the outside of the mailing envelope so we don't miss it. Include the name of your band on the outside of your mailing envelope so we may identify it quickly and efficiently.

4. Bay State Rock is strictly a local music show.  We do not play music from outside of New England.

Thanks for reading this.  We look forward to hearing your music.
